OHIO RIGHT TO READ WEEK CELEBRATION AWARD

Each school or library in your district must participate in a minimum of three activities listed below. Celebrate for one or more weeks. If May dates are too late, select a week that fits your school calendar.

The dates coincide with Children’s Book Week. Some schools prefer the first full week of March to include NEA’s Read across America. Others prefer to partner with their communities for special events and anniversaries. A celebration in May reinforces the importance of summer reading.
